Wintry Night Swirl

First was the Fern Swirl – delicate and light – and then I fall in love with the curves of this design and created a family of Swirls. Wintry Night earrings were created as you may guess one of those long and cold Scottish nights, where is so dark outside and you want to stay in bed all the time. The colour palette is in the cold blues and purples – Blue Sapphire, pale blue Aquamarine, soft purple Ametrine and only the burgundy Spinel brings some warmth. For deeper effect I oxidised the earrings but not entirely, there is some white silver – the touch of cold. Measurements: the earrings are 5.3cm/2.12” long in total and 1.9cm/0.76” wide at the widest point. Materials: Pink Quartz heart briolette; Blue Sapphire, Ametrine, Aquamarine, Burgundy Spinel micro-faceted roundelles; sterling silver.
